Why Register a Trade Mark?

The registration of a trade mark is the only way you can comprehensively and exclusively protect your product name, business name, company name and/or logo.  A registered trade mark also allows you to put the ® symbol next to it.

Duration of Registration

Trade marks registered in the United Kingdom or European Union are renewable every 10 years.

Process for registering a UK Trade Mark 

It will take approximately 3-4 months to register a trade mark in the United Kingdom.  However, if an objection is raised against the application during examination or if a third party opposes the application when it is published for opposition purposes then this will delay the registration of the trade mark.
